Earlier this week I was fortunate enough to receive this Certificate of Appreciation from the Lioness Club representing the Children of Courage Award. The Redcliffe Dolphins have contributed to this great project for a while now and it was great to get a photo with Fiona (pictured above) in accepting this award.
What is the Children of Courage Award?
The Lioness Club has just recently held its 17th Annual Children of Courage Awards where 19 courageous young people received awards and were recognised for their achievements. The Children of Courage Award was created as a way to recognise the achievements of young people with special needs.
It’s honestly such a wonderfully thoughtful project. The children receive a Children of Courage teddy bear, a note of their award and a beautiful gold medallion that has the child’s name with “Proudly supported by the Redcliffe Dolphins” on the back.
